My camera has been sitting in its bag for a good two weeks now. I haven’t even bothered to get it out.
Why?
I wish I knew. After my last photo shoot (my first small wedding!) I started doubting myself. My inspiration ran out. I feel like I never have time, that my camera is just in the way of me living life. My phone is easier. Excuses, excuses, excuses.
My bloggy turned real life friend, Tricia, told me that there is SO MUCH to photograph around where we live. It’s the country. Wide open spaces. Old barns and corn fields. Beautiful sunsets. A historic downtown. Things around the airport.
I guess because I see these things on a daily basis, I don’t get inspired by them. To me, they are always there, have always been and will always be.
But now? I can’t WAIT to get my camera out and just play around behind the lens. Not trying to capture the perfect moment, but just clicking away to see what I come up with. That’s the reason I started loving photography in the first place.
