As I started writing this post, I realized that thought I have never posted it here, I DO have a list of things I want to do in my lifetime. A few examples would be:
- Travel to Europe– see London and Paris for sure.
- Travel to Australia.
- Take the kids to Florida.
- Write a book. (yes, I am serious)
- Be an extra in a movie.
Well, friends. I am doing one of these things over the weekend. Can you guess?
I am in Dallas to be an extra in a movie!

Here’s the backstory: My friend Laura (who has kids that are the same age as mine, and who takes all of our gorgeous family photos)–her husband had a brain tumor at the age of 13. His dad wrote a book about that entire experience called Rebounding from Death’s Door. I read it several months ago and was blown away. You would never know that Eric or his family had been through something so severe and tragic!
Now, that book is being made into a movie–and Laura (I think jokingly) asked if I would come be an extra–and it actually worked out! My college BFF Sheana lives in Dallas, so it turned into a quick girls weekend. I haven’t seen Sheana since she moved 6 months ago, so it was the perfect reason to go!
