Earlier this year, I retired my 5 Things I am Loving Right Now linkup– but today, I am taking inspiration from that and starting a new series on the blog. It is called My Top 5– meaning that periodically, I will share my Top 5 things in a certain category– just because I LOVE sharing the things I LOVE!
SO–to begin, I am sharing my Top 5 Basics– enjoy!
BEST TSHIRT
This tee from Old Navy has quickly become my go-to for a standard t-shirt. It comes in a variety of colors, and currently is priced at $7.99. I think I own 3 of them– they are awesome!
BEST TANK
The Bleecker tank from GAP is my new favorite tank. It is made of the softest jersey cotton, fits a tad on the loose side, and is so comfortable, I am practically living in them. Currently priced at $10– they are a STEAL. Check out the polka dotted ones, too!
BEST SHORTS
These khaki shorts from Old Navy impressed me more than I thought. I am not much of a shorts person. I have a hard time finding the right length between Daisy Dukes and Bermuda’s due to my height, so I ordered these online on a whim. Even as I was trying them on, I was unsure– but as soon as they were on and zipped? I fell in LOVE. Not too short, not too long, modest along the waist, and a relaxed fit. With most colors currently priced at $15, you can’t go wrong!
BEST COMFY SHORTS
For every day around the house, I need something comfortable and that I am not afraid to get dirty when being outside with the kids. We take a lot of walks outside this time of year and I need something breathable and lightweight. Enter these shorts from Target. At $12.99, they are affordable, comfortable AND stylish.
BEST SOCKS
I am picky about my socks, and for the last 2 or 3 years, these socks from Old Navy are all I wear/buy. They hold up well, are comfortable, fit perfectly, and are not too tall to wear with my tennis shoes. You know, in case I wanted to work out. Which I need to start. That is another post, entirely!
SO– that wraps up my Basics Edition Top 5 post! What are some of YOUR top basic items?
