I have a very small mouth (making my 4 years of experience with braces SUPER fun) and as a result, I have to work a little harder with my regular toothbrush to get my teeth really clean. I also still have a permanent bottom retainer that always collects food, so it’s important that I keep that clean. I had always wanted to try an electric toothbrush, but always ended up throwing whatever was cheap into my cart. Not this time! I decided to give the Sonicare PowerUp a try.

I loaded up the kids and off we went to our local WalMart to check it out. They were really excited about it, if you can’t tell.

Sonicare PowerUp excitement!

Kenley may hate me one day for that photo, but I think it is hilarious!

For less than $20, the Sonicare PowerUp electric toothbrush is an affordable option! It packs in a month’s worth of regular brush strokes in one day, making your gums healthy, your teeth sparkling, and your oral health a priority. The packaging was slim, easy to read, and Kenley made sure that the Sonicare PowerUp toothbrush was safe with her!

What I liked the most about it from the start was how slim the design is! It doesn’t feel like I thought a “bigger” toothbrush would feel. The bristles are soft, the batteries are easy to install, and in less than 20 seconds, I was brushing my teeth.

I noticed a difference the very first night, and after 7 days, my teeth have never felt this good when brushing at home! My gums have always bled when I brush my teeth, and after 7 days with the Sonicare PowerUp toothbrush, that has significantly improved. I feel like I just came from the dentist! The Sonicare PowerUp toothbrush even gets the food and plaque out from behind my retainer.

You may be wondering what I did with my old toothbrush. I decided I could get a little more use out of it– just not for brushing my teeth!

Exhibit A: My mineral powder foundation tends to get in between the sink and the counter tops. My old toothbrush plus a little bathroom cleaner and water takes care of that problem!

Other ways I plan to use my old toothbrush:

-Cleaning the small parts around my stove handle, refrigerator handle and dishwasher handle.

-When pretreating clothes, using it to help get the stains out!

Needless to say, I won’t be switching to an ordinary toothbrush after using the Philips Sonicare PowerUp electric toothbrush. But don’t worry- my old toothbrush will still be used!
