The past week has been a blur. It is busy season at the airport, so naturally the kids want to spend a lot of time there watching the planes and playing in the hangar. Brandon has been working insane hours (home around 11pm, alarm off at 4am) so we don’t see each other much. The kids and I just try to stay busy and boy, am I exhausted after a week or more of going nonstop.
But despite being tired and weary, we celebrated Brayden’s 4th birthday yesterday with a day of fun. We took donuts to the airport, did a couple of gifts there, and then went to see Brayden’s first movie in the theater, Despicable Me 2.
Kenley definitely approves of birthday celebrations! Especially those involving donuts.
For those of you that don’t know, Disney has a new movie coming out called “Planes” starring Dusty Crophopper, a crop dusting plane. We have a giant count down going (AUGUST 9TH!) to take Brayden to see the movie, and he is borderline obsessed. I have a feeling that Dusty and the rest of the gang are one birthday party away from totally invading my house. I can’t help but be borderline obsessed also– I mean, crop dusting is a huge part of our lives, and I think it’s awesome that Brayden is excited about the movie. We got him a Dusty play set with some of the planes– he was so excited, and now carries Dusty pretty much everywhere.
Uncle Eric helped get Dusty and his gang up and running, and Brayden hasn’t stopped playing with them since.
The kids did great during the movie. It was their first time at the theater, and I couldn’t have been more pleased. Despicable Me 2 was absolutely hilarious, and now I really can’t wait to take Brayden to see Planes.
Also, he’s 4 now. I think it’s going to take awhile to set in. I just can’t believe it. It *almost* makes me want to have another baby!
