I love my kids dearly, but when they go to bed, I can not WAIT to watch REAL TV. No Bubble Guppies, Mickey Mouse, or Sesame Street. I want to unwind with an occasional cocktail and relax with TV that isn’t teaching me colors, manners, or the alphabet. Enter–Instant Mom by NickMom! This is a show on NickMom starring Tia Mowry-Hardict. Her character, Stephanie, marries an older dad with 3 kids making her an Instant Mom. It’s humorous, captures real family scenarios, and the best part–it is on Nick Mom, helping me to wind down at the end of a long day!

My plans for a Mom’s Night Out were kind of a flop due to our mini vacation that the kids and I are leaving for today, so instead, I invited my friend Ashlee over to watch Instant Mom with me while the kids played.
We all piled onto my bed (K wasn’t feeling so hot) and turned it on. Coffees in hand and kids in tow, we had fun watching Instant Mom together and chatting about motherhood in general. Her little guy, Liam, had a rough night the night before, as did my kids. It was so nice to catch up with her and take some time to just talk about being a mom! The good, the bad, AND the ugly. After watching Instant Mom, we sampled some of the goodies that I brought home from the apple orchard this past week. YUM!
Motherhood is tough, lovely, rewarding, and exhausting all at the same time. NickMom wants you to unwind at the end of the day, yet show the humorous side of motherhood! My personal motto? Never enough coffee but always enough love. It’s true, right? Motherhood is the toughest job on the planet, and after those trying days, we ALL deserve a little break. Watching Instant Mom was not only relaxing and funny, but it was a good way to bond with a girlfriend going through a different phase of motherhood.
